Meet The Chamber Staff

PATRICIA L. RITCHIE
President and CEO

Patricia L. Ritchie has been President and CEO of the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce since August 2001, when she returned to Fairfield County after many years in the Hartford area. Patricia is responsible for insuring the chamber meets its stated objectives and operates within its annual budget. She works closely with the elected Chairman, Officers, Board of Directors, and many volunteer committees to achieve this.

In addition, Patricia works to establish a friendly and open working relationship with the town administration and the many town departments, the Board of Education, Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University, the 500+ chamber members, non-member businesses, and town residents. She speaks for the chamber on important issues and at events. Patricia also attends various town meetings to provide input on behalf of the business community.

In her day-to-day duties, Patricia devotes much of her time to Chamber events and projects.

LINDA MATTHEWS
Executive Assistant

Linda was raised in Fairfield and has more than 30 years of experience with the Fairfield Chamber office. She performs many of our internal functions, such as processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and maintaining more lists than we can count. She also handles our Gift Certificate Program and is a certified Notary Public.

Linda provides administrative support for all Chamber programs and events, and she responds to the hundreds of telephone calls and written requests for information the Chamber gets each year. Above all, she is a wellspring of sanity.

ANNA ACCETTA
Administrative Assistant

After operating for many years as a two-person shop, in 2008 the Chamber added Anna Accetta to the full-time office staff.

Anna comes to us from the corporate world, where she was an office manager for Catalyst International of Fairfield, Balmori Associates of New Haven, and Theodore Barry & Associates of Massachusetts and New York.

Her past duties have included in-house accounting functions (as well as close working relationships with outside accountants) and event coordination -- skills that will be a tremendous help to the Chamber. Her experience in human resources will also come in handy; someone has to keep our webmaster in line, after all.

Email Anna: anna@FairfieldCTChamber.com.

THE WEBMASTER

This shadowy character has been developing, editing and (much to our chagrin) writing for the Chamber web site since 2000, but he leaves behind more questions than answers.

Who is he? Where does he come from? Is that really the only pair of shoes he owns? We're pretty sure the answer to the last question is "yes," but he could still surprise us someday. Maybe.

Thought to be responsible for some of the more outrageous newsletter articles on this site, over the years our webmaster has also played the roles of photographer, graphic designer, computer techie, database wrangler and (since 2001) token male employee. We even let him redesign the web site this time around; he's a weird kid, but we have to admit he has a way with color. Really bright, cheerful color that pokes you in the eye as often as possible.

One or two days a week he flits into the Chamber office, creates madness and mayhem, and flits back out again. If asked, we'd be hard-pressed to say whether we're happier to see him coming or going.

Normally we'd put an email address here, but you really don't want to talk to him — he'll make you nuts. That much we can be sure of.
